The Art Of Words Pt 7: Back & Forth

I had a dream
bound by chains
found a heart
turned to stone
the heart
brittle and dry
like roses
crushed between
my fingers
a reminiscent scent
left behind
the chains
that set me free
in reality
were no longer there
chaos
in my head
I found a heart
clenched
held it tight
spooky shadows
in the darkest
nights
slipped through my fingers
no more
in my head
in my mind
in my dreams
in a dream
nothing was there
in my dream
in a fantasy
I found a heart
It was gone
In my mind
awake
in a dream
in my fantasy
in a reality
chaos
gone

Another that I had written awhile back...
This poem reads from top to bottom and bottom to top.

The Art of Words Pt5: CRYING

I find it kinda strAnGe
I find it kinda cOmplIcAted

I gave the wOrld my heart
Threw it into an open sea

But the sound of crashing waves
never let it be

I find it kinda complicated
I find it kinda blue

I gave my heart to the w0rld
Threw it hIgh into the sky
Despite the rain

But the crashing lightning came
Striking....Destruction...Disaster
PAIN

I find it kinda Beautiful
I find it kinda true

I gave the world my HEART
...and I gave it to you...

...now tell me...
                      ...what will you do?
                                                    ...to be continued...

Little Foxx and the Imagination Factory: Ink Doodles

EAT YOUR HEART OUT!

Each day at work I built up this heart, little by little, layer by layer in between saving projects and loading files.

The Art of Words : Pt 1 BLACK SEA

This is a poem I wrote years ago. I've changed a lot since then...

Black Sea

I'll put my heart
In a pretty black box

Seal it with a bitter kiss
And a silky black ribbon

Never to be opened again
Never to be broken to shame

Consumed by the dark
Let it blossom black roses
And rest in its holy grave

For those who walk over it
Shall shiver and be bruised

Then only will they leave it alone...
In the dark
My beautiful, little black heart

Looking back at this, I realised how terrified I was of LOVE, getting hurt, emotions and mostly the extent of having expansive emotions...for me at the time, it was to be as defencive, put up walls and destroy any form of feelings by constantly reaffirming the notion that I didn't need LOVE.
